Saw “HangOver.” Hilarious. Don’t expect “hilarious” when you see it though, because then you’ll only get “funny” out of it. Then ended up at some small place called So Vino. Winery with club music, white linens and a tolerance for shorts.
Probably heading down to Galveston beach today, but not looking forward to the traffic.
Also, have you seen Google Squared? It builds comparison charts. An administrative-assistance dream, I presume. Hat tip to @holtkampw.
Downloaded Touchlytics. Not loving it. It’s crashed my iPhone several times and the information presented on the iPhone does not match the information presented on the Google Analytics website. Disappointed. I did download it the first day it was available (or at least I’m sure pretty sure I did), so I’m going to justify this shady version by saying that it’s in beta and that I should only expect first versions to be a little quirky.
Eloy! What happened to your website!? What are we looking at!? Why does it look weird? I moved some stuff around and broke some stuff. It’s a good move though, I assure you. Just wanted to let you know that I am well aware [mostly] of the look of the website and will be working steadily to fix.
Went to the Rodeo Saturday night.? Overall I had fun.? It didn’t start that way though.? We drove what felt like an hour going about 2 mph in circles to get to a parking lot that felt like it was in another zip code.? I took my DSLR (camera) hoping to take some awesome shots filled with smiling faces and carnival lights only to find that I forget my battery.? Fail.
So this means I get to carry my not-so-light DSLR around the whole park partly because I refuse to do an Oregan Trail all the way back to the parking lot.? Not to mention the $7 bucks to just get into the Carnival.
I was grumpy to say the least, but we got into what I would call the best tent in the place and ate awesome BBQ.? I wasn’t in the mood for spirits (of any sorts) so my friends drank and I just enjoyed the drunk-people watching and music.? Oh yeah, they played country.? Epic Fail.
It was the Rodeo and country music was expected but I think I was trying to ignore the details went I agreed to go.? The time with friends and the carnival games blurred my sour disposition and I was just happy in general by the end of the night.
Watching cowboys get down to profanity-filled hip-hop will put a smile on anyone’s face.? The “Patron Girls” did not hurt either.
I was thinking about considering about thinking about getting an “Eye” phone (make sense?). Can someone please convince me because I’m just not sold yet.
I drove the speed limit today.? It hurt real bad.? I couldn’t help myself with that beautiful stretch of I10 road that are taxes paid for.? So much time spent eagerly awaiting this beautiful stretch of road.
Now we can’t even enjoy it because it’s a cops paradise for speeding tickets and excessive lane changing.? I had such a hard time keeping the speed limit that I was looking for the slowest of vehicles to tail so that I could somehow limit myself.
That didn’t work for too long, the drivers in front of me were getting agitated and moving out of my way so that I could pass.
I’m trying to be a good citizen because I got pulled over twice yesterday morning.? Who get’s pulled over twice in one morning on the same stretch of road.? Without exaggeration I think less than 5 minutes passed between the 2 pull-overs.
One officer pulled me over to make a cliche remark in a firm authoritative voice “are you in a hurry son” and “do you know how fast you were going” … then he walked off without giving me a ticket.
It’s as if he got his kicks out of yelling at people.? I guess if he doesn’t get respect anywhere else, he can pretend to get it while he’s wearing a badge.
The second officer (less than 5 minutes later) was silver haired and had the swagger of a long cop career.? He made productive comments like “I clocked you going 80 in a 60″ and “here’s your information packet for any and all questions, oh yeah and your ticket.”
I’m a list maker, do it all the time, even when I’m talking … not sure if that’s good or not.? Today I reorganized my list into ‘work focused’ things to do and ‘me focused’ things to do.? Both list are about the same length, but one significantly outweighed the other in priority.
So for those of you who can’t get enough eloy, I would strongly suggestion following me here @eloy.? This service is not just for eloys, it’s a service that lets anyone share their thoughts about anything at any time.? Twitter has existed for a good number of years now.
Even as you read this blog there are thousands of people saying “who doesn’t know about Twitter!?” while the other half of you read this and go “what the heck is a twitter!?”? Not only can you follow people, you can also follow companies, sports teams, etc …
So if you’re not on Twitter yet … this means you … please get on so that we can more conveniently stalk each other, I’m really getting tired of standing outside your window.? Ok, no more Twitter talk.
It’s about 4am now, for the last week or so I’ve been waking up at 3am everyday.? What does this mean!?? Then I toss and turn until 5am, then my alarm goes off at 5:30am … but my body as already learned how to turn off the subtle wake-up sounds of my phone, I get a great night sleep on through 7am and then I ease into the day beautifully.? Although I’m semi-scrambling to get ready so that I’m not late for work.
Instead of tossing this early morning I decided to blog.? Hmm … imagine that, maybe waking up at this hour is more of an opportunity than an annoyance.
The Animoto application figuratively speaking feels your music and builds a music video for you using your photos.? Now this is pretty cool in it’s own but not very convenient.? Therefore not likely to become a part of our daily lives.
Have an awesome night, take awesome photos; on the semi-coherent, nostalgic ride home you can select some photos, select a song and make a video.
Not sure if this video would automatically exist on the internet as soon as it was created, but if it does … it could automatically show up your MySpace, Facebook, or Website.
Even if that last part doesn’t exist (yet), still very cool.? I can see the service becoming more popular, most definitely.? “Hey check out what we did yesterday” … blam! enter iPhone or iPod Touch.
P.S.? I don’t own an iPhone — I write posts like this because I’m a masochist.
I went to a palm reader this past weekend, she ended my session by handing me her business card and telling me we’ll continue to talk free of charge.? I went w/ a group of 4 friends and I was the only one to get a business card.? I think I see her in my dreams now … naked.?
